Help Files

Webmail:

The 'Webmail' link will take you to a web based email client. It has a number of features that you would see on your local email program such as Outlook. These features are beyond the scope of this simple help page, but are documented in the Webmail program itself.

To login and use Webmail, simply enter your full email address and the password for that account. The first time you login, you may be asked to review the User Preferences and set some of the defaults, (your full name, reply too address, etc etc). You can always go back at a later date to adjust any of these settings.

Please remember, Webmail does not download your mail to your computer like a regular email program would, so, if you use this interface exclusively, you will need to delete email on a very regular basis! Failure to do this may cause you to run out of email space.

If you do select emails to delete, please ensure you click on the Logout icon when you are finished to remove the mail from the server. Clicking the 'X' to close the window will not remove your deleted items and they will be there the next time you login to Webmail.

Change Email Password:

The change password utility does just that, the catch is that you must know your current password to do this. If you do not know your current password, contact your site administrator.

Auto-Reply and Email Forwarding:

E-Mail forwarding is useful when you want to pass your email to another address, such as a business partner or spouse, It can also be used to temporarily redirect your email to another email box, for example, when you are in another city at a friends house.

The Auto-Reply feature is an interface to a utility where you can create or audit a message that can be sent out automatically in reply to all incoming email. This feature is useful when you are on vacation, or are away from you email for extended periods. The message can be shut off and kept for the next time you need to use it.

Webalizer Web Stats:

Webalizer is a program that analyzes the raw server logfiles to generate useful statistics. More information on how to interpret them can be found at: http://www.mrunix.net/webalizer/webalizer_help.html

Administrative Area:

This is a password protected area for use by your website administrator only. This area allows you to manage email accounts, mysql databases, php and mailing lists, files on the server, password protect directories, check disk usage as well as a number of other functions.

The password for this area is located within your hosting setup email.
