ore blocks as access to the stope block can be via the Alimak raises on the ore body.
Ore losses and dilution are low compared to other mining methods and the mechanised
stoping operation ensures minimization of the cost per ton of product. Ore bodies with
short strike lengths and low tonnes per vertical meter can now be mined profitably!
